Alright, gang, you’ve asked, and I’m gonna do my darnedest to answer!  For some this may be the sounds of me beating a dead horse; however, how can I not continually share a program that has truly changed me for the healthier…the happier….the stronger…the B E T T E R.

For those of you in need of the replay, be sure to check out my original Bootcamp Post.  For those wanting me to dive in a little bit deeper and still on the fence, stick around….because I’m going to answer my most commonly asked questions and get down to the nitty gritty.

I am currently in my THIRD ROUND of Amanda’s Program  and I think it’s safe to say I’m hooked.  Completely.  As are many of you rumor has it…turns out a whole gaggle of s + s readers have hopped on the bootcamp bandwagon and are loving it as much as I do (see last night’s INSATGRAM POST for testimonials) and I simply couldn’t be happier to see so many of you thriving and loving your newfound groove (and badass bods)…it’s truly amazing to see!  But I also know there’s another gaggle of you gals who are on the fence or may be suspect that yet another program on the market actually works.  Gang, I do pride myself on bringing y’all goodness…legit goodness and I’d be doing a disservice to my s + s gals if I didn’t share what this program has done for me….and more importantly, what I KNOW it will do for you.

You see I was that gal who was always fitness minded.  I’m an odd duck as I truly enjoy working out….it’s therapeutic and food for my soul.  Speaking of food, I was eating all the wrong stuff come to find out.  OVER working out and UNDER eating…say W H A A A ??  ‘Tis true, gang…hustling, sweating my hind off, doing all kinds of rigorous exercises only to…plateau!!!  Not cool in my book…at all, kids.  Enter Amanda’s Program….I find myself leaner, so much so, stronger, happier, less stressed, the mug’s texture has improved, I have more TIME as I’m not over extending myself at the gym, and I have the FREEDOM to eat straight up goodness.  I also have the freedom to enjoy my wine and the occasional treat…but here’s the thing…I don’t crave it all the time like I used to.  I’ve filtered the nonsense out of my body so it truly doesn’t ask for the Oreo’s on the regs like it once did…glorious!

So how does it work?  How in the hell do I fast everyday?  How is it that I workout less but am losing and defining more?  How in the hell did I have all the Xmas and New Year’s goodness and not gain a POUND?  Well I’ll tell ya, gang!  It’s Amanda…girlfriend knows her ish and is transforming gals just like us all day everyday!

I believe the key is this.  She knows the right combos.  The right things to eat at the right time in conjunction with the right kinds of workouts.  She allows our bodies to rest.  She allows us to function optimally.  She allows us to listen to our bodies, learn what is best, and fuel the hell of that precious machine like a B O S S.  She T E A C H E S us how to make this newfound way a legit lifestyle.  One that you won’t want to quit.  One that will simply transform you.  I promise.  Stick with this and you’ll be so crazy happy you did.  If I could share the countless number of success emails I’ve received from YOU ALL, I would indeed.  I’m not sure what’s more rewarding for me…my success or seeing y’all blow it out of the water…I’m thinking the latter!

Onto the FAQ’s I receive….I’m going to give you MY answer although I HIGHLY encourage you to read Amanda’s Breakdown on the Registration page as it’s super informative.

 Do you fast everyday?

Yes.  We do.  We intermittent fast meaning we shrink our feeding window down to about 8 hrs.  There’s theories behind this of which Amanda knows but here’s what I know…that ish works and I personally believe it’s been a big part of my success.  A typical day for me looks like a boatload of green tea and BCAA’s to get me going in the morning followed by a glorious Lunch, Snack, Dinner, and Snack starting at noon and ending at 8pm.  And in simpleton terms, BCAA’s more or less shrink wrap your muscles and protect them from being used by your bod for fuel…preserves ’em!  This is super important while in the Fasted state each morning bc we want the bod burning the Fat not our Guns!

Is Intermittent Fasting Hard?

Initially?  Hells to the Y E S.  After Day 3?  Hells to the N O.  Like most things in life, your body WILL adjust to this newfound routine and you just wait, gang, you’ll be fasting until 2 like it’s your job.  And see this is what I love about this program….allows for flexibility.  So tomorrow night, I’ve got a girl’s night so I intend to fast until 2:30 so I can enjoy my eats and drinkies until 10:30/11!  Voila…problem solved!

What Types of Workouts do you do?

It varies from day to day.  Typically we workout 5 days per week.  It’s a mixture of speed burst training (hello, Sprints), coupled with weight training and HIIT training.  But here’s the beauty of this program…the workouts take only 30-50 mins–that’s a HUGE improvement from what I’m used to!  Oh and you CAN do the workouts from either your home or the gym.  I’ve had gal pals do both ways and see equally amazing results.

Can I do this if I don’t live near you?

‘Fo Sho!  In fact, that’s one of the things I love because once you join a private Facebook group, you’ll get to meet all kinds of fabulous ladies from all over the country.  Quite possibly the best part of the program is your Facebook group as it serves as a wonderful source of support, motivation, and accountability!   It’s a total Girl Power situation!

What do you eat each day?

It, too, varies.  Two days of the week are low carb days so that will consist of heavy proteins and fats–think eggs, chicken, salmon, filets (Johnny has the BEST recipe), arugula salads, chicken salads, veggies, protein shakes, avocados, and nuts!  Y’all need to follow along SNAP (@seersuckersaddl) as I post a lot of my eats!!  If you’d like to see a break down of recipes, let me know and I’ll start sharing on the blog.  You CAN be a vegetarian on this program.  The other days are all about that MACRO management (mixture of Carbs, Fats, Proteins).  The My Fitness Pal app will become your bible and guide you through your eats throughout the day….I’ve become so hooked on this bad boy I love it.  I have been getting a TON of recipes from Skinny Taste…she’s incredible!  Amanda will also share a comprehensive meal/grocery guide—she’s coming up with a cookbook, too!

I travel a lot.  I party a lot.  I nurse my kids…a lot.  I doubt myself a lot.  Can I do this?

Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. More Yes. Hell Yes.  Damn Best Believe It!  YES, gang, Yes you can.  Again, she’s gonna TEACH you how to do this.  You’re going to learn that what you think you can’t achieve, you C A N!!  I did this thru Thanksgiving and the Holidays along with 300 other women and we DID it!!  Here’s the thing, you’re going to start to FEEL better very soon.  Very soon.  That will motivate you to stick with it.  You stick with it, you’ll see even MORE results…more motivation…..It’s a beautiful fitness/nutrition snowball of motivation….You can do it!!  And this is where the FB accountability group comes in and is just straight up Money…super motivational and inspiring.

Do you take any Supplements?

I JUST started taking my BCAA’s this go around and LOVE them!  We also take a probiotic.  Protein shakes will become your BFF, too!

How do I sign up?

Simple!  Head over to the registration page and voila!  The next bootcamp is starting January 30th with prep week starting THIS MONDAY!  Rumor has it spots are filling up fast so if interested, grab a gal pal–this helps, too…I did it with several each round–and get ready to transform, gang!  I’ll be your cheerleader from afar and ALWAYS available for questions if needed!  It makes me so very happy when I see y’all reach your goals which is why I was inspired to type up another bootcamp post…it’s like, why wouldn’t I want to share this game changer with you?

    Beth-
    I am in Amanda’s program right now because of your posts. Can you do a screen shoot of MFP intake. One Facebook we only see the macros, not what everyone is eating. I need ideas for regular calorie days to get all the Carbs in. I am, as well, work out harder than necessary and do not eat enough. I am struggling to get my calorie count and carbs in on Regular calorie days. Low carb days are easy for me:( This is my first session with Amanda.

      I do take my BCAA;s regardless of workout or rest day. Since it’s “preserving” my muscles, I want to ensure I drink on the regular!

  7. I just started Amanda’s program last week and love it! Just learning how to properly use MyFit Pal app and count macros has been well worth the investment. I was doing it all wrong and I’ve studied nutrition for over 20 years. I was also doing IF but following the Bulletproof Diet it was way too restrictive but this program is much better. Focusing on macros, incorporating 2 low car days + lifting heavy is really the missing link for women. I’ve been to so many doctors and none can figure out why my body is no longer burning fat. Thanks for sharing your experience. Do you have your last meal by 8:00 pm or do you not eat past 8 pm? I was shooting for 6 pm but that’s almost impossible based on the number of calories I have to consume per day.

    Hi Beth! You mention having green tea and coffee in the mornings until you break your fast – I’m curious to know if you can have anything in those morning drinks…sweetener, creamer, etc.

    So what can’t you eat while doing this? I’m always scared to commit to something like this because I don’t want to give up stuff for a full six weeks?!! Sometimes I think I do better when I know I can have it on occasion instead of going cold turkey?!!

        Hi Kortnie!

        So you truly can eat whatever you’d like; however, it needs to be
        clean….try to minimize processed foods, etc. It also needs to fit
        within your macros for the day which will be dictated by both Amanda
        and your My Fitness Pal App. On leg days which is once a week, you
        can have a little splurge like a donut, cupcake, etc. I drank wine
        several days a week but just made sure they fit within my macros. The
        thing is, you’ll start to feel leaner and just better overall so it
        will motivate you to not sabotage it with junk. She’s advises we go
        dairy and gluten free, but I don’t.
